We're very pleased to be stocking Garden Swift dry gin (Formerly Garden Tiger Gin), the moment we tasted this, we fell in love with it. The first thing you will notice is when you add the tonic, the drink clouds up. You are then hit with amazing citrus notes from the blood orange. This is a beautifully complex British gin crafted using 34 botanicals.
What also stood out to us after talking to Distiller Barney Wilczak is the passion he has for importance on the quality of botanicals used for Garden Tiger gin, which are all hand-inspected and individually introduced into the process.
The collection of spices, berries and herbs are soaked in British wheat spirit for 40 hours with blood orange, flowers and fragrant leaves placed in a basket in the still.
The Capreolus distillery is located in Gloucestershire and a number of the botanicals are sourced locally.
Bottled at 47%, it is also un-chill filtered to retain as much flavour and texture as possible.
Winner of the hugely prestigious Whisky Exchange Spirit of the year 2017. Organic blood orange, flowers, spice, berries, pine, drying resins and sweetness fill the mouth. Rich and unbelievably complex, it transcends expectations of a gin.
