We'd never drank Lambrusco until we visited Modena and that quickly changed, we fell in love with this fizzy Red wine. It's an amazing drink that's poorly represented here in the UK and something we want to help change, we do love Prosecco, but Lambrusco is perfect any time of the day, works so well with fatty foods and also deserts. As with all our wines, we try to source the best and we think we have done so here, with this brilliant example from Cantina Ceci. It's crisp and slightly sweet and love it. We highly recommend a bottle for something a little different unless you're like us and already fallen in love with Lambrusco.

Ceci has been established since 1938 and are the leaders when it comes to the production of Lambrusco wine, they also know how to package it up so elegantly, which is something that usually makes us waring, we want substance over style for our customers as that's what we expect ourselves. But Cantine Ceci delivers in both departments, the bottle is a statement in itself and the content is perfectly fitted to it.

Description

Colour - Red purple with ruby reflections, followed by complex and enveloping hints of berries, from strawberry to raspberry to blackberry, and wonderful violet notes on the nose, which compliment the intense soft and rounded notes of strawberries, blackberries, raspberries. which are sweetish, but complemented by the support of good acidity and and subtle tannin.

Food Pairings
Perfect for the Parmigiana cuisine in its highest expression, it offers unexpected combinations with many Italian and international dishes. If it goes very well with cured meats such as Parma ham or Felino salami, on the other hand, it perfectly balances a large boiled or stuffed egg pasta.
